kartracer's Scooter

I would like to share some photos with you of our creation. The plan was to
turn an old style 10 speed bike into a motorized scooter. Well things just got
out of hand and here is what we ended up with. The front forks are home made
(like you could not tell). From there to behind the seat is the original old
style 10 speed frame. From the seat back is all custom made. It is powered by
a race prepaired Briggs and Stratton 5 HP engine putting out 9.5 HP running on
methanol. Power to the rear wheels goes through a Horstman racing clutch set
at 3,000 RPM stall. The rear axle is 1" aluminum with the rear tires being 10"
wide on 6" aluminum wheels.

It is not finished yet. We are in the process of having a new custom tube
chassis made from a local chassis company. This will eliminate the front
forks, old style frame and the rear section. When completely done it will look
very much the way it does now, but more professional. It will continue to have
the wing and wheelie bars.

My son Justin and Myself, Robbie started this project a few
months ago. Justin races go karts and we were able to use alot of racing kart
stuff. We are from Panama City, FL. You can visit our web site if you would
